You are absolutely right. It is a very good information for learners who want to learn any programming language. Thanks!

Soo... 2 years later and seems nobody has been contributing to Graffiti, open source or not. I'm a .NET coder looking for a .NET CMS, and I must say it's frankly embarrassing that GraffitiCMS is out there calling itself a "CMS". It's nothing of the sort. What kind of CMS doesn't allow you to create an actual web page?

As for developer contributions, there have been none. There are a few themes, which basically look the same with different graphics, and a single .. one.. plugin. That was written by the same guys.

Graffiti should have died a semi-respectable death ages ago, now it's just something PHP devs can point to as a reason to stay away from .NET. I'll certainly hand it to PHP devs, they seem to have more idea of how to write something people *want* to use, and is genuinely useful, than .NET devs do.

I worked at MCs right after high school. I can't believe she did not offer you pie. Completely wrong. I do like how your article ties in with user experience. Great website.

OK...you obviously know what you're doing...so...perhaps you can help me out. I was asked to take the main portion of this site off the WP platform and install WP into a folder on the site. Done...finally. Static pages working...blog working in its folder...but...for some reason the original designer coded links into the home page flash which of course I didn't realize until everything else was done...drats. NOW since I don't work with flash I have a problem that sounds sort of like yours. The links originally were coded to go to domain.com/?page_id=41 for instance. When the links are clicked you are redirected to the home page...I've tried 404 page...doesn't work...tried to redirect myself...doesn't work. I looked at the database files you mentioned but I'm just not good enough to get into those areas (and I don't see where to change the urls anyway). I don't need to make the problem worse. Any ideas to help with this problem?

For the guy asking about godaddy hosting, I advise no. They don't have cpanel. Other companies I've used are Hostgator (good) Justhost (seem somewhat squirrley and forget support - it doesn't exist) and HostingMatters which I think is the best. Readyhosting TOTALLY SUCKS.

I have spent hours and hours with tech support ever since one of their clueless tech guys tried to block a malicious IP and ended up blocking EVERY SINGLE IP IN THE WORLD from accessing my client's website.

"It will be fixed in an hour" 4 times now.

Dude, it is NOT fixed.

I am astounded at the incompetence and lack of follow through

Thanks for the one liner! The admin bar is an annoyance when editing (at least for this multi-window user). Cheers!

True enough it does what it's supposed to do but it makes clients think all we do as developers is just download some program and voila - presto - a plugin shoots out. In truth this should be called a "Basic, Simple Plugin Starter" since all it really does is create a new PHP file (easy to do) an put the plugin header in. No real coding, no functions, no filters, no callbacks. The result is simply the most rudimentary step in creating a plugin. That, however, it does well.
